I am a researcher and a medical doctor working on medical image processing, with special focus on cancer imaging. Since 2020, I am a postdoc at New York University in a group led by Krzysztof Geras where I am working on artificial intelligence in breast cancer imaging.
During my MD (class of 2019) and PhD (class of 2020) I was supervised by Michał Pędziwiatr at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. My PhD thesis and research in years 2017–2020 was focused on computed tomography in liver cancer, specifically on preoperative planning for laparoscopic liver resections. During that time, I developed, validated and implemented clinically a low-cost method of 3D printing anatomical liver models for surgeons and patients. In 2019–2020 I worked as a postdoc at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in the group led by Synho Do. At Harvard, I worked on deployment of artificial intelligence models to the clinical practice and I developed a web platform for collaborative annotating medical images for AI purposes.
